  • Hateful or discriminatory language
  • Conspiracy-driven or pseudoscientific claims presented as fact

If you’re attempting to persuade or challenge an idea, do so with evidence, balance, and respect. We strongly recommend reviewing the site’s navigation and existing content to understand the tone, structure, and audience before submitting.

Prohibited content & links (non-negotiable)

To protect readers and brand partners, submissions must not contain links to or promotion of:

  • Adult or sexually explicit content
  • Gambling, betting, or gaming services
  • Pharmaceutical products or medical sales pages
  • Recreational drugs or controlled substances
  • Financial scams, get-rich-quick schemes, or misleading offers
  • Any content that could reasonably be considered not in the best interests of the site or its owners

This includes direct links, indirect references, affiliate links, or contextual promotion. Any submission containing prohibited links or themes will be rejected without revision.

Content eligibility & originality

All submissions must:

  • Be 100% original content, written by you
  • Not be spun, paraphrased, or republished from existing articles
  • Be checked using plagiarism-detection tools (e.g. Copyscape, Grammarly)
  • Not be copied from public-domain sources such as Wikipedia

If external data, quotations, or research are used, they must be clearly cited, and you must have the appropriate licence or usage rights. If an article is published and later found to be plagiarised, it will be removed immediately.

Commercial content & sponsorship

Submissions must not be advertisements, sales pages, or spam. We do accept sponsored posts, provided that:

  • Sponsorship is declared upfront
  • Content meets the same editorial standards as non-sponsored posts
  • Any links, placements, or commercial intent are mutually agreed in advance

Undisclosed promotional content will not be published.

Quality & readability standards

Your submission must use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation (Grammarly or equivalent tools are strongly recommended), be written in clear, accessible language, avoid excessive jargon, and be suitable for a broad, family-friendly audience. Submissions requiring heavy rewriting or correction may be declined.

Length, structure & media

  • Minimum length: 1,000 words (longer articles may be published as multi-part features)
  • Image-heavy or list-based articles (e.g. top-10s) may be shorter where appropriate
  • Include suggested categories and relevant keywords
  • Include images, diagrams, or maps where they add value — all media must be original, properly licensed, or correctly sourced and credited

Uniqueness & exclusivity

All accepted content must be unique to the Content Kings network (including the Giant’s Causeway Official Guide) where it’s published. We don’t accept content that’s appeared elsewhere, including personal blogs, Medium, LinkedIn articles, or other publications.

Editorial review & response times

We aim to respond to all genuine guest post and contributor enquiries — response times may vary during busy periods, and submissions that clearly ignore this policy, or emails that appear promotional, automated, or spam-like, may not receive a reply. Please make sure your enquiry is clear, relevant, and compliant.
